Tour Plan
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by one of our representatives and transferred to the Hotel.
Depart after breakfast for a full day’s drive to Kisoro region in Southern Uganda. After this long drive, you will check in at your accommodation, enjoying dinner and a good night rest before tomorrow's climbing.
Today you will climb Mount Gahinga - at 3,474m, it’s the smallest of the Virunga volcanoes. The climb will take around six hours in total including ascent and descent. If you are lucky, you may spot golden monkeys on your climb through the bamboo forest.
Today you will meet the Batwa People - hunter-gatherers and fierce warriors who depended on the forest for shelter, food and medicine thanks to ancient knowledge passed down through many generations. See how they used to live and hunt, share a traditional meal, listen to ancient legends and traditional songs, and join in on a mock hunting party - you can even test your skill with bow and arrow.
After breakfast, you will discover Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - one of Uganda's oldest and most biologically diverse rainforest. Home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas, as well as 120 species of mammal, including several primate species (such as baboons and chimpanzees), elephants and antelopes. This trail will take about 3 to 4 hours.
After an early breakfast and briefing from the guides of Uganda Wildlife Authority, set off for the gorilla tracking in the forest sanctuary. The activity starts at 8.00am and you join the other members according to the distribution of the gorilla families. It is unpredictable how long will take to find the primates as they freely move into the forest. However the encounter with the gorillas, lasting for about one hour, certainly is a rewarding experience and an unforgettable one. After the trekking, you go back to the lodge for leisure.
After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your flight to Entebbe. Once there, you'll go to the airport for your international flight.
